Why should I go to the dentist regularly?
Simply put, it is to periodically evaluate your oral and overall health and examine your oral hygiene habits. Example of this is, if you have diabetes, you are more at risk of gum (periodontal) disease and we need to stress the importance of daily brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups. Also, most dental problems do not have any symptoms until they reach the advanced stages of the disease process such as tooth decay and gum disease.
Why should I floss, isn’t brushing enough?
Flossing is essential because it gets rid of the bacteria (plaque) your toothbrush can’t get to. That’s the bacteria hiding in the tiny spaces between your teeth. Brushing without flossing is like washing only half your face. Flossing also helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Starts with good oral hygiene. Brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss daily. Visit the dentist regularly because professional cleanings are more thorough and will prevent bacteria build up. They can provide a constant supply for the bacteria eating into your teeth. If you’re prone to getting cavities fluoride mouth rinses will be helpful.
Why does the dentist take X-rays?
